What percentage of the world's population detests football?

Dear Folks,

I detest football, and this includes football and American style football.

Also, I detest the fact that I must be reminded that football exists in the world.

And, these days, every time I open Google Search, I am reminded of what I detest most.

image.png

This BICYCLE KICK DISGUSTS ME, so much. Over, and Over, and Over, and Over. When will this madness end?

image.png

Do you feel as do I?

And, how do you deal with it?

If this continues much longer, I will switch to DuckDuckGo, which I also happen to detest.

I need help,

Best regards,

Gamma

Has it ever been good? Endless Trump bashing is so boring.

I'm not a woman, and I still detest football for many reasons.

It brings out the worst in MANkind, including war, and the spending on Guns instead of Butter.

When I say Guns, I mean huge monstrosities they call football stadiums.

This is a criminal waste of resources.

And so, it seems, we are back to the Guns and Butter argument.

And, let us be impressed by the fact that about 30% of GEN Z dislikes sports, and I presume this means professional sports, or some kind of organized sports like what we see at university,

With too many resources going towards football instead of academics.

And so, hopefully, just as the word is moving away from religion, so it is moving away from football, and...

It is about time.

I just wish that Google Search was not in on this game...

What a load of rambling tosh!

Is that just large and expensive football stadia, or do we include cricket grounds, althetic tracks and heaven forfend opera houses, symphony halls and the like?

We actually need more opera houses, and symphony halls.

These bring people together.

Football stadia (thank you for the correction) are completely divisive and cause arguments at home, and elsewhere.

That's rather an elitist attitude.

In reality, football stadia, and sporting arena in general, do a splendid job of bringing together people from all walks of life, unlike opera houses and symphony halls that, I would contend, pander to a largely wealthy minority.

Was only interested in US sports, not anymore since the woketarded nonsense.

Ask that to the 92 thousand fans that packed the Melbourne cricket stadium yesterday to watch the 2nd State of Origin Rugby league game.

I see nothing wrong with the wealthy minority, except for Beethoven, who was an evil and dislikable man, despite his sublime music.

It is the wealthy leisure class that have been responsible for many valuable advancements, throughout history.

Also, football, in its gargantuan form, is a moder monstrosity.

I have no problems with the Aztecs playing football, back in the day.

But, the way it is glorified now is obscene.

There is no longer any logical perspective.

Yes.

But, just think how many billions of NON-fans were absent from the stadium.

But, as I said, I am able to tolerate cricket quite easily.

It is only football and basketball that I detest.

I thought that more akin to basketball, there being an upper goal in the form of a hoop.

I've glanced over the last four topics that you've posted and I feel that it would be greatly unfair for me not to at least congratulate you on mastering the art of creating uninteresting content.

I don’t detest the game. Over time I’ve lost interest in sports. The last world cup I watched was when Germany crushed Argentina.

This sentence is overly verbose.

You should practice the art of writing like Hemingway.

Hemingway is never uninteresting, but artificially long sentences are boring.

Would it not be almost impossible to create one toopic that was interesting to every member on the forum?

Perhaps, you are one of the very few who finds this topic uninteresting.

Or, perhaps, you are too much in love with football?

You got to watch NRL, best sport on the planet.

Closest thing to unarmed combat, these guys are warriors.

I guess if you have never been much of an athlete, you wouldn't get it.

I absolutely abhor football, the soccer type. It has got to be one of the most boring sports in the world. It goes on an on with no points scored until one sissy player takes a fake fall and is given a penalty, which might score at the last second of the game. And I hate the jerseys, and the names of some of these teams. Oh my, this discussion has got my blood pressure up.

That is a sport you can watch. I am not a great fan of the NRL, but I have seen the Melbourne game. It is a tough game, not like the sissy American football game I follow, the AFL, and watch the NRL sometimes and of course, the soccer World Cup.

One of these days, I want to travel to Australia to watch a match.

Easy, just do what you like to do, and not care about it.

Mate, I must admit, you do have a valid point there. If I had to choose between one of your unintelligible waffles and a round of yawner footy on the telly, I think I’d still have to go with the footy.

What Americans call soccer is my personal cure for insomnia. I always thought the world was playing a joke on Americans, and as soon as we started to say, "Wow, that's really exciting", they would laugh and tell us it's a joke and nobody likes it. Boring does not begin to describe it.

Bill Maher said soccer is what Americans use when they don't want to pay for child daycare. He also said there's more scoring in Bible Camp than in soccer.

In contrast, I long played and enjoyed American football. Look at video of Gale Sayers or Barry Sanders or Randy Moss or Calvin Johnson or Lynn Swann, and there is incredible beauty in their athleticism. If one wants to see what true competitive fire and clutch performance are, watch Tom Brady.

I suppose what one grows up with will always be a favorite. I played football, basketball, baseball and ran track all into my 20s. I've lost interest in baseball, but the other three are still on my list of sports to watch. Soccer, rugby, etc......nah.
