Pending Work Permit Application

Simple question and apologys if it has been raised elswhere but can you legally work while your permit application is being processed or do you have to wait for the blue book?

I think its a " Grey Area "

My school did have a visit from the boys in Immigration and the school did not have the Blue Book in its possession but they accepted the paperwork that it had been applied for. No problems.

That was in Chonburi district.............not sure what applies to other districts.

On the receipt slip that they give you while waiting for your WP and on the application form it points out that you are not allowed to work until you get your WP. However it would be un-likely that you would have a problem if the paper work was being processed. Unlikely but not impossible! I suppose it could come down to which school you were working at how bigger big shot the owner / principle is and what directives the local police were working under (TIT).
