Allies of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani swept the region’s Democratic House primaries Tuesday evening, the latest example of liberal-minded voters shifting their preferences.

And after Brad Lander, Darializa Avila Chevalier, and Claire Valdez won—all of whom have been vocal critics of Israel’s genocide in Gaza—the biggest loser seemed to be MAGA world, which was left befuddled and irate that voters had turned away from candidates espousing the historically pro-Israel party line.

Democratic Socialism is moving into the mainstream, the Democratic Party’s version of the Tea Party.

Voters are further left than the the Democratic Party’s establishment (AKA GOP Light).

As a matter of fact, I am. From research for my book about prisons, I have become a complete prison abolitionist. They're not solving any societal issues, are they.

I've been for defunding the police since they were kicked heavy military equipment. Call that serve & protect? I call it fascism.

Not so sure about that. Part Socialist policies work quite well in many countries acrossss the world. An obvious example is national health schemes which are present in many countries with some success.

I grew up in a country where 'share the wealth', 'support each other' etc., were very normal. And we have a quite successful national health scheme where everything about health is provided by the national health, close to free.
