Hemingways, formerly Shenanigans in Jomtien do good food & beer, and have many tellys.

I guess that at 7am you will be looking for breakfast, which they do a good one as well.

But will you be able to get a pint?

In UK pubs are open until 5am, two hours after the game finishes. Can't see so many going to work on Monday morning.

Schools should start at noon that day, let the kids watch England.....win or lose?

I would go to Dicey Riley’s pub 2nd rd. if I was in Pattaya which I am not at the moment. Spotless clean, great aircon , service and I love the food.

Let's hope not but God help us!

I-Rovers Bar in LK Metro, was in there for the DR Congo match, wall to wall TV's, English commentary, was a good crowd.

There was a beer offer, 3 beers for 210bht, the food is good, and they do a good breakfast.

Are they doing beer openly at that time or is it via a "coffee cup/mug"?

I sat down and the waitress came to ask what I wanted, I said Chiang please and she told me the offer, 3 for 210, as you order they mark it on the bill.

Kings Table on Soi 13 opens at 6.30am and will be playing the game.

Pattaya business owners are not stupid.

They know people will want to drink.

There`s lots of places in Pattaya that "play the game" but will they actually be showing it live???

A casual acquaintance asked me yesterday where I was going to watch this match. I politely told him that if I was forced to make a choice of watching any match involving the round ball World Cup and slamming my personal appendage in a car door, I would choose the latter.

What is it with the soccer World Cup and the Olympics every four years that blokes who would otherwise never consider watching the national women's pole vault finals (or worse, the women's shot put semi-finals) or Eritrea v, Zimbabwe at soccer, suddenly decide that these events are of world shattering importance?

I don't think the match is world shatteringly important but I am happy to spend 2 or 3 hours to watch it and hopefully enjoy it (if England win).

What is the matrix effect?

I don't care about watching it, but I do hope England wins.

Is Dicey Reilley's the place that was part of the (I think) Marriott by Ripley's? That was a nice joint.

The hotel is called Avani now; has been a number of years. When the navy is in town for "manouevers" it's where the officers stay. Enlisted men and women have to make do with the Hard Rock.

But a well respected poster on here seemed adamant that those places all served slop.

Sigh..........who to believe.

Football with some food & coffee would be great, but no beer for me at 07:00.

Must be a lightweight.

Replace coffee with tea for me. Way too soon for booze.

I have decided to go to Soi 13 to either the King's Table or the Sportsman. They are opposite each other, have the same ownership and menu, so I'll look how the land lies tomorrow.

I had a very good brekkie at the Sportsman during the Ashes, so no worries about the standard of food.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

what about the finals?

it's at 2 AM local time?

will it be replayed the following day in any bars?

It should be on Thai terrestial TV, with Thai commentary. No need to go to a bar.

Watch it in the comfort of your own home on the BBC.

Kick off delayed by an hour, now 8am.

It'll possibly be lunchtime before the match starts!

If Harry Kane gets a hat trick he will be the tournaments top scorer ... for now.

Kane didn’t get the memo but Bellingham did !!

Next game will be the first time I DO NOT want Haaland to score.

That would also be my pick as it has screens outside and inside.

Great breakfast.
