I have to say, I still don't like the name 'gay'. At the time it was adopted in San Francisco, gay men were anything but happy. Everywhere else, they we still in the closet or in Sham marriages.

Not for us to judge in any event. No matter how wrong you think it is, it's their life to be lived the way they want. Being a Christian and having a couple of gay family members doesn't make me happy, but you accept who they are and let God judge.

I knew I liked guys more than gals (and that it would be scorned and dangerous) from the age of 15. But when I first read about Christine Jorgensen going under the scalpel for a "sex-change" it made me very uneasy. Sounds so easy, convenient and painless: "sex-change" with the attendant injections is really creepy.

Girls are girls and boys are boys and hermaphrodites are nature's little joke on us. But spare the industrial slicing to fit some fancy.

(Don't really approve of plastic surgery either. Check out the Bride of Wildenstein, who just kicked the bucket a year or so ago. She wanted a "cat-face". Would I joke about something so gruesome?)
