July 5Jul 5 Popular Post It was always obvious that my eldest granddaughter preferred girls from about eight. When she was 11, she came out to her parents. She’s now 19 but, to my knowledge, has never had a steady squeeze. I feel accepting of this fact and am curious to meet any girlfriends she may have. (I’m certain they could not be more outrageous than I!)Her parents support her in ways I feel are a bit overbearing. Baking her a rainbow b’day cake, taking her six hours’ drive to the nearest Pride Parade. It’s, to my mind, a little too much support that isn’t really, really support. Herself is what she is, nothing more and nothing less.We don’t do any of that for straight kids.My grandsons are apparently straight. Would I be as accepting of them if one turned out to be gay? Do I regard gay differently than I do the L-word? I'm a little bit more iffy about boys. Not sure as it hasn’t happened (yet). What I’m curious about is whether kids have experimentation and then switch teams. How often might this happen? I don’t care, but I am curious.Believe me, it’s hard enough have far away grandchildren. I definitely don’t want far away great-grandchildren! Which means, I don’t need any more heirs to pass along the family name.Bottom line is that gay men and women do pretty much the same things in bed I do. And I bet you do, too! So it's not really an issue.

July 5Jul 5 Popular Post In my opinion, the sad thing about youngsters becoming gay or trans is that they may have watched this on the internet and perceived it as the 'in thing'. I'm an old fogey, born in the early 1930s without TV or internet, so not exposed to what I consider a cult. Sure, it was quietly there. But it was not flaunted, and people weren't persuading you via the internet that it was normal and to try it.
July 5Jul 5 Popular Post Growing up I had a good friend a pretty Japanese girl inform me that I was gay long before I realized it myself. Not in a mean way. She knew that any straight boy would have made a move on her but I felt nothing. Even her parents treated me as a "safe" boy. Edited July 5Jul 5 by Jingthing

A couple became very influential academics.

Not everything needs to be easy. AI, for example. Libraries were robber baron Andrew Carnegie's finest achievement. I support LGBLT+ books in school libraries. No censorship!

July 5Jul 5 I lived in the San Francisco bay area before coming here and gayness is everywhere. I always got along with the gay women better than the men. As you, I decided not to worry about it and actually one of my last managers I hired was very gay. Worst manager that I ever hired :) Spent more time talking and getting in touch emotionally with his employees. Impossible to fire someone in California so I had to deal with the sht for years. He also had HIV so I had to be careful. Just kidding , he did have HIV though.Did you have a specific question in your OP? I have a habit of rambling... Edited July 5Jul 5 by atpeace
July 5Jul 5 Popular Post For those who are interested I would suggest watching The Edge Of The Matrix, on Youtube. A man broadcasting the truth about the dangers of the Trans movement.

I have a habit of rambling...My son and I ended up in a gay hotel in Vienna--the kind where you never see anyone, key and card are passed through a window. First time we slept in the same bed since he was a boy. Anyway, we wanted beer and walked into the bar across the street. It was a lesbian bar. It was quite clear we weren't welcomed so drank our beers in the street. Great trip!
