There is no native people of the Falklands, just the people who are there already. They have decided they prefer Britain over the Argentinians. The situation is different from the US Virgin Islands, which was bought with cash without referring to the natives.

This affair is working people up to think that the US is a country that can't be trusted. Why Charles doesn't catch a cold and back out of the royal visit is anyone's guess.
