The victims of the London stabbings weren't Israelis, they were British Jews who bear no responsibility for the actions of the IDF, any more than British Christians, Muslims, Hindus or Buddhists are responsible for the IDF. Even if you believe the 175.000 members of the IDF have committed war crimes or genocide, that has nothing to do with Jews outside Israel.

Why is that a "good one"?. America is freedom, although some do take things too far. Like another said here, there have been cases of hate speech in the UK, where it's against the law, yet it continues. Lack of enforcement is always an issue, as can be seen here with road incidents. If you talk hate in America,if it constitutes a threat, and incites violence, you can be arrested. Pardoning the guilty and allowing people to get away with such things is a huge problem, and money is usually at the core.

Think of the alternative, that there is a God, and why children should indeed be taught about him, seeing it would be the most important lesson they'll ever learn, a passage to the afterlife and forever. It will never die out, as it's the only logical explanation why we're here, besides the opinions of others who also have no proof of that alternate thinking. A god who requires you to believe in him or no afterlife.

How capricious could he be? What about people who have never heard of him but live good lives? Would he deny them the afterlife?

What about bone cancer in children? What is his purpose for that?

A personal relationship with God is how you get to heaven. Good acts are a good thing, but isn't the way. Remember, all lives are short, and that's nothing compared to forever. Maybe the purpose is for us to learn how to help others, even though some have to suffer temporarily.

That everything in the universe just happened by chance, especially all of life on earth and how it has all it needs in one place has more logic having a creator with a plan.

It's not about a religion but a belief. Religions are man made. If no one has ever been taught about God, and live out in the boondocks where no missionaries have been, I'm thinking he'll take that into consideration, especially if they weren't taught respect for life, although those places are very rare. It's mainly up to your parents to teach you respect for life, and some obviously fail at that. Where else would good morals come from besides the past history of God's laws?

Personally I lean towards atheism, but it's interesting to note that the Jewish concept of afterlife differs a lot from the other Abrahamic religions.
