Many ways exist to live with the heat. Before my family had aircon in Texas around 1960, we lived in a house with high ceilings, cross ventilation through screen windows and screen doors, a large 36 inch attic fan, a house built and positioned to take advantage of a dogtrot, plenty of back and front yard space to separate from other houses, and planting shade trees to block off the sun. And of course people themselves overweight, as shown in that video, could lose a lot of pounds and that alone would make the misery factor in the heat decrease tenfold.

The heat is just an excuse. Few wanted to celebrate America with Trump at the helm.

If I were still there, I'd leave today. Until the Rule of Law is re-established, there is nothing about the US that would even make me consider visiting!
