no, it's not hilarious actually.

poor choice of words.

this is the problem when you own property. if you rent, it's much easier to eff off if you have a crazy neighbor. he has no choice but to move far away now.

Foreigners don't own property in Thailand.

That’s why another top class international school is opening here in September.

What is called here a top class international school is in many other countries simply called a private school.

In the old days, if you didn't pass the 11+ exam to enter your local grammar school, you would (if your family could afford it) be sent to a private school. The move down to "private-school level" would also signal in the English class system a move to the lower middle class, as opposed to the real middle class (and above) who went to a Public School.

IMG_1834.jpegAm I am seeing this right, just one bottle? Just one bottle and the pensioner is claiming "throwing rubbish such as beer bottles, liquor bottles and other debris into the victim’s property". Is this the best evidence the pensioner could come up with???? Based on the pensioner's nationality it looks more like liquor he would drink as opposed to his neighbours. Noticed how nicely the liquor bottle was thrown into his property and landed right side up for the perfect photo (smile).

I think the cops should let the 85 year-old friend got throw all the boxes back onto the British guys property I think the police should give him a strong warning saying if there’s any more problems the British guy be deported back to England where his life would not be so comfortable I’m sure the French guy came here he wants to live out his last year’s in peace and quiet and relax he shouldn’t feel threatened that’s a bunch of bull<deleted> in the bridge gotta go over there with four young guys come on TIT

I would agree with harsher rules. Visa revocation is the best and reliable sword to stop those brawls.🙏

Do you think a man who is 'hit and missed' is thinking about losing his visa? But if he does lose it, he won't do it again in Thailand. Benidorm maybe?😉

According to the complaint, a British male neighbour living next door in Nong Pla Lai, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi, has allegedly caused disturbances over a prolonged period. The reported behaviour includes playing loud music, drinking alcohol and throwing rubbish such as beer bottles, liquor bottles and other debris into the victim’s property.

From the photos, it hardly seems like there has been much rubbish thrown into the property. That garden looks spotless. A single bottle is still a single bottle, no matter how many different photos you take of it.

I also think the Brit deserves a bottle throwing prize for being able to throw bottles and have them land upright and not break.

One has to wonder why the low life neighbors needs to be accompanied by around four young men in order to discuss his behaviour with an 85 year old pensioner.

Perhaps the pensioner has a penchant for Vivaldi and for him it is not loud?

It was quite easy to resolve. Play plod a monthly fee and they will put a red box outside the house and plod will visit everyday.

Pattata attracts low class people.

How many years have you actually spent in Pattaya and which areas are you most familiar with.?

Like the old saying goes ....if you can't beat them join them.

Never mind the cup of tea and biscuits all the Frencman is gotta do is go and buy a slab of beer and a couple of bottles of the cheapest wine and go next door and drink and get drunk with them and they will think he's a great bLik

The hundred year war continues.

I hope the Authorities sort this problem out for the retired French pensioner

He should be able to enjoy his retirement with out hassle from other fellow expats especially those do you know you i am and I know people in high places atitude

They need sorting out quickly

Ha ha, bloody hilarious, stupid foreigners in Thailand.

This is SO Pattaya.

So many freaky, weird foreigners here now.

You think harassing an elderly person is funny? That makes you far worse than any of your "freaky weird foreigners" and puts you in the same category as the perps in this story. So if someone harassed or assaulted YOUR mom or dad or grandpa it would be OK if we laughed, then?

Last thing you need in these parts is for a Benidormy type to move in next door.

Heart goes out to tHE fRENCH guy.

Yes, i agree.

It often makes me laugh why mixed kids automatically go to intl schools as well, just coz they're mixed does not make them intelligent, which many seem to think.

Intelligence has nothing to do with it, it's about how much a kid can achieve with a decent education.

I usually find that those who mock international schools simply cant afford them.

I agree, who posted that?

No, any fee paying school is private.

Top class international school is exactly what it is.

Except they usually follow the syllabus of a singular country so are not truly international?

With the amount of thumbs down to some of the what are obviously humorous comments, it would seem that humour is now not understood, and being offended has taken over. I feel sorry for our French friend, and I hope he gets the problem sorted out. The usual Thai Police way of solving this situation is what I suggested earlier. 'Come on. Sit down. Have a nice cuppa tea or a glass of wine and let's make friends. Keep the noise down and keep your rubbish to yourself'. 85 year olds don't want to be kept awake by people enjoying themselves. I know. I'm 92.

alleging ongoing harassment, intimidation and physical assault by neighbours and individuals claiming influence in the Nong Pla Lai area

Yes, well they don't want their children to grow up like them.

Remember back during Covid and certain areas were designated a Sandbox to bring in some tourist money? We need a variation on that, the Hothead Visa. All the low class fighters, loudmouths, and people who engage in physical intimidation should be shunted off to a newly designated beach area, Drunk's Paradise, where they can clobber and urinate on each other and pass out drunk. Import some Chinese AI robots to clean up after them. Just get them off the streets of the rest of the country.

They can call it Pattaya.

Maybe he could scare the Brit away by threatening to come by and brush his teeth.

I think it's pitiful to harass an 85-year old. He's earned the right to a peaceful life.

If the Brit rents, could be worthwhile to contact his landlord.

I’m really surprised at the comments here. Seems it’s just a laugh ?

So, an elderly man is hassled by a neighbour and his mates. Not all neighbours get on of course. But hey, if you were 85, or your Dad, and had to put up with threatening neighbours, would you all still be laughing it off ?

They do learn a lot more English though. The prime consideration for sending my kid to an international school.

A secondary consideration was the mumbo jumbo superstitious nonsense taught at Thai schools and a third consideration was the fact that Thai education is so Thai centric with little or no attention paid to the world outside the country.

My daughters intellectual ability wasn’t a consideration at all.

IB, IGCSE/A levels which are recognized by good Universities globally.

Strictly, no, but there are plenty of us who have paid for our properties to be built and now enjoy no monthly outgoings for accommodation (rent or mortgage).
