Well, a good step would then be, making the USA shut up and go back to diplomacy. Maybe offering Iran something like the agreement they had before, just with global guarantees, that the USA will be militarily prevented from acting up in the Middle east again, and after they paid reparations for their assault on sovereign Iran. I am sure Iran will open up the strait on the same day without any toll. You are right in one point, this is a world problem, but only because of unilateral aggression by the USA against Iran. The world was happy with the nuclear agreement, before Trump ripped it up. As the USA broke it, they will need to (pay to) fix it. None of this actually changes the point of our discussion, that the USA, in climate matters, should act pro-actively and follow internaitonal agreements, instead of doing the opposite; which has something to do with rich people, but again, I see mainly the names of American billionaires and companies in the press influencing US politics, so pointing the finger towards "the others" is just a lame diversion.
