There was mention in previous posts that air tickets were not accepted at the Ban Laem border post for a 30-day visa-exempt entries.

This appears to have changed.

Before I crossed into Cambodia I went to the arrival window to enquire about whether or not I could use an air ticket instead of the infamous "bus ticket". The immigration officer inspected my ticket and said it was ok and asked me to leave a copy with him when I come through.

If you decide to use an air-ticket instead of purchasing the 200 baht "bus ticket", then make sure you have a photocopy with you to leave with the officer.

Here is a scan of the "bus ticket" that can be purchased for 200 baht at the border in Cambodia. I've placed "bus ticket" in parentheses because it's not really a bus ticket. I inquired as to where I could travel to on this ticket and was told that it could not be used for travel.
