Re: Looking For A Villa To Rent On Karon Beach

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I will be visiting Phuket for a week from around the 21st/22nd of October and was wondering if anyone knew of any nice villas with pool to rent. There will be me and my wife plus my 14 month old son as well as my parents. I'm not looking at paying more than 30k.

Requirements - on Karon beach or close to. Walking distance, at least two bedrooms. Accomodation for 4 people and a baby.

Also require cooking facilities. A swimming pool, private preferred.

I dont fancy staying in a hotel and paying thier exhuberent prices and also want some privacy.

Please email or pm me. [email protected]

Can't help you I'm afraid, but 30k for a week should get you something very nice indeed, particularly as it's low season. I'd be looking at a month for that amount of dough!

You reckon ?? Villa vacation rental is usually fairly brutal.. I know places that charge routinely charge 1000 USD per day.. Baan Kata Kiree charges 2250 ish per day for christmas (with 15 days required) and still over 1000 USD per day for low season.. Most nice ones with private pool are 400 - 500 per day even the most basic ones out in more remote areas tend to be 200+ USD per day. The cheapest one I know of in Karon with private pool is Baan Karon Beach but thats 2200 USD per week. Not being a snob here but 30k baht isnt even 5k per night, thats nice hotel money not vacation villa rental.

This is of course for a real 'villa' style not a hotel bungalow or suite..

I am pretty sure you could get something at Wakira Place for that price, nice place tho not walking distance to beach. Calling them Villas is a stretch / marketing speak but a 2 bed place there would be close to the budget.

Fire an email off to http://www.phuketvillarentals.com/index.php Trying to go budget may be worth firing one to Welta too.. Not really her market but she may have a lead. http://www.houseinphuket.com/
