There's nothing wrong with Thailand enforcing its own laws. If that makes it more "difficult" for foreigners, so be it. Anyway, from what I can tell, the requirements for retirement or whatever, aren't that onerous.

The current"problems" seem to stem from Thai banks and the difficulties people face opening a new account. What's that all about?
