Carroll's lawsuit made claims of sexual abuse, defamation and rape, as defined by New York's penal code. The jury found Mr. Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation, but rejected the rape claim. The state's statute requires proof of forceful penetration involving the attacker's genitals.

The judge later wrote that New York's law is out of touch with federal standards and a "modern" understanding of rape. In post-trial rulings he wrote that Carroll's assertion that Trump raped her was "substantially true."

That's enough for me and furthermore....."Carroll's attorneys argued that her allegations fit a pattern, or "modus operandi," for Mr. Trump". Two other women called as witnesses described Mr. Trump suddenly turning casual confrontations into acts of alleged sexual misconduct. The jurors were also shown an "Access Hollywood" video clip, first made famous during Mr. Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, in which Trump could be heard describing himself grabbing women's genitals.

Defend him if you like, but also the accusations of paedophilia still loom large and charges have been filed against him.........more to come!!

Trump was not convicted of anything. Next.

As is shown in the following notes, the definition of rape in the New York Penal Law

is far narrower than the meaning of “rape” in common modern parlance, its definition in some

dictionaries,2 in some federal and state criminal statutes,3 and elsewhere.4 The finding that Ms Carroll failed to prove that she was “raped” within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump “raped” her as many people commonly understand

the word “rape.” Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that

Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that.

Thailand limits applications each year, cost is about 200,000 THB without the help of lawyer.

You individuals on the left never give up. Penal law is criminal law. This was a civil case with no physical evidence. It's a glorified he-said-she-said case funded by an organization called American Future Republic, which is backed by Reid Hoffman.

PC is a form is weakness. I think that Thai women were presented with the idea of wokeness and Western forms of feminism, and they were completely rejected. Thai women are much more attuned to their femininity and the qualities that men are attracted to in a women, and I think they were presented with that option and they rejected it outright knowing that it was a great source of power for them, and wondering why would I want to give that up?

On another PC Note why would any of us accept the whole trans thing being shoved down our throats? It was certainly one of the reasons why the Dems lost the election. Trump didn't have much to offer but the alternative was just too bleak for too many. Why should we bow down to the wishes of 00.1% of the population?

Transgenderism is a subset of a broader social justice ideology, and radical constructivism underlies nearly all social justice claims. In the terms set by social justice ideology, language constitutes reality, rather than merely attempting to represent it. Reality is formed from a linguistic putty that social justice believers mold into whatever entities they can imagine or construe. Social justice ideology is thus a “practical postmodernism”—although the phrase necessarily strikes reasonable people as an oxymoron. How can postmodernism be “practical?” they ask. By being put into practice.

The social justice phrase “check your privilege” is best understood, then, in connection with this inverted hierarchy. It should be interpreted as follows: Note where you stand on the (inverted) social justice hierarchy and act accordingly. Defer to all those ranked above you. Acknowledge their superior access to knowledge, experience, or what have you. Never suggest that you have knowledge or experience that they do not have. And finally, speak only if/when granted permission by your social justice superiors.

There is no question that the woke thing is out of control in the US, in Canada, in Europe and in some other places. Moderate, sensible people are being forced to use terms, and accept the ideologies of far fewer than 1% of the population.

Here, I have not experienced any of that, thankfully. Live and let live. I have no issue with anyone doing what makes them comfortable, or happy. Just do not force me to speak how you want me to speak, and use all of your special terminology. I am not a PC person. Wokeness is weakness.

Good Post Mike!! I dont agree with you much, but this I do agree.

I bounce back and forth from our place in Thailand and our place in the US. I've worked with some companies in the US that make anyone contracted with them take DEI classes as a compliance issue.

The DEI classes we had to take were confusing and I had a hard time passing some of them. They made it seem like even telling a coworker she looked nice or that you liked what she was wearing could cause a problem. They claim the coworker might interpret it as a sexual advance or someone else might feel they were being treated differently because they didn’t receive the same compliment. So no compliments were allowed.

I understand why companies want to prevent harassment, but some of these classes make ordinary workplace interaction seem much more complicated than it needs to be.

I also wonder whether in some cases underlying mental-health problems, loneliness or a desire for acceptance may be involved. That doesn’t mean every transgender person has a mental illness or is looking for attention. People have different experiences and motivations. But I don’t think businesses should treat every question about gender identity as hatred or discourage reasonable discussion rather than to push employees into classes on how to deal with things.

Myself I treat everyone the same. I don’t care if you’re gay, transgender, black, white or purple! I judge people by how they treat me / others, not by the group they belong to.

Now, some of the furry behavior is difficult for me to understand, especially when people take it beyond costumes or entertainment and expect everyone else to participate in it, these people may have mental health issues or their parents have some type of issue to let their children do these things. Playing is one thing, but letting them go out in public and act like that is an issue.

Musk is a simpleton who has no understanding of the fact that great wealth carries with it a great responsibility to society. He is likely the least charitable man in the history of mankind by a long shot, relative to his wealth, and that's not something to be proud of.

And the man never invented a single thing in his life. Except maybe the Cyber truck which is a horrific vehicle, and an absolute disaster.

I dont know Muck personally so I cant say if he is a good person or not and if I would like him of not. At this time I personally have no opinion of him either way.

However... Calling Musk a simpleton who has never invented anything is just ridiculous. You may not like his personality or politics and you may hate the Cybertruck, but that doesn’t erase what he has accomplished.

Musk has donated billions of dollars, including about $5.7 billion in Tesla stock in 2021. I’m not going to claim he is the most charitable person in the world because people like Buffett and MacKenzie Scott have publicly given more. But saying he is the “least charitable man in history” is just something you made up.

He also reportedly paid more than $11 billion in taxes for 2021 alone. Taxes aren’t charity, but that is still an enormous contribution to the government and society.

As for supposedly never inventing anything, Musk is actually named as a co-inventor on patents. More importantly, he founded SpaceX and served as its chief engineer while the company developed reusable rockets and dramatically changed the space-launch business. Obviously, thousands of engineers deserve credit too, but pretending Musk had nothing to do with it is dishonest.

You can dislike Musk and think the Cybertruck is ugly (I’m no fan of it myself), but calling someone a simpleton after he helped build Tesla and SpaceX into what they are today says more about your political dislike of him than it does about his intelligence.

You are mixing several different things together.

Yes, the jury found Trump civilly liable for sexual abuse and defamation, but it did not find him liable for rape under the definition it was given.

This was also a civil case decided on “more likely than not,” not a criminal conviction beyond a reasonable doubt.

New York temporarily change its statute-of-limitations law, and that change is what allowed Carroll to bring an allegation from roughly 30 years earlier.

Granted the law was not written only for Trump, but without that new window, this particular sexual-abuse claim could not have been brought.

Carroll’s case was also partly financed by a nonprofit backed by Reid Hoffman who is a major Democratic donor.

That does not prove her allegation was false, but it presents this as having a political connection.

Most importantly, what “pedophilia charges” have supposedly been filed? Give us the court, case number and actual criminal charge. An allegation in an abandoned civil lawsuit or an unverified FBI interview is not a criminal charge. You cannot simply say “charges have been filed” and then finish with “more to come” as if that proves anything.

Either show the indictment or admit you are repeating accusations that have not resulted in criminal charges.
