However, it would appear that a Liberal Progressive woman with all her beliefs in "strong, assertive, girl bosses", LGBTQ rights etc. might not be a great match for a conservative Muslim man who has a very different attitude to a homosexuals/cross dressers, and has very firm beliefs about a woman's place in society (hint, it's not at the top).

Unfortunately, this mismatch has lead to a number of high profile murders. Jamey Carney being the most recent.

Which is a shame.

Allow me to elevate the discussion by responding with a more intelligent perspective.

I have no interest in other people's sexuality. That said, significant differences in social and cultural values can sometimes create difficulties in a relationship. For instance, a Muslim man may have strong religious objections to homosexuality, whereas a liberal woman may see respect for and support of LGBT rights as a fundamental principle, and perhaps something worthy of celebration.

Similarly, a Muslim might think non-believers are infidels, whereas a Lib thinks all religions should be respected (except Judasim obviously).

I am curious how 2 people with such strong opposing views will be compatible. Given the recent murders, maybe they are not?
