Yes, good for her having the courage to make the complaint and push for action, and good that the guy was denied entry. Boarding procedures should not sit women travelling alone next to men.

There’s a secondary lesson to be learned here. One should not take sleeping aids when flying, especially if you are responsible for children, other travel companions, or are carrying value items onboard with you. IMO, the risk - benefits don’t add up.

I completely agree with you. A responsible parent traveling with a child should not take a sleeping pill on a flight.

Yes, obviously it was technically illegal, however, did those laws envisage a man being on a plane touching arms with the woman, her wearing ultra-tight pants and moaning provocatively whilst under the influence of drugs, barely conscious? No, those laws did not have these circumstances in mind. We need to use our common sense when such incidents happen, and in this case, sure the man lost a bit of self control, but he's hardly a violent rapist or a perverted Marquis de Sade. He didn't hurt her, he didn't penetrate her, forcibly or otherwise. He was the victim of his intense sexual urge. Some of us suffer the same problem, and I can tell you it's not easy to control this beast.

Yes, agreed, obviously this should not happen. But happen it did. So the man could then apologize, the woman could gracefully accept his apology and both could move on. Why does she have to get him put in handcuffs, deported and banned from Thailand. That seems completely over the top for the nature of the offence.

But it clearly contributed to her already provocative behaviour. In addition to wearing very tight trousers, she was probably drooling, moaning and writhing around sexily. Is it any wonder this man was aroused?

The more you oversell your unhealthy remarks, the deeper you dig yourself in.

That seems extremely harsh. Deviant? So homosexual sex is fine but masturbation is now deviant? He didn't involve a dog, horse or get out his BDSM kit, did he? He was just overcome on a long flight by the sight of a woman, who for some reason on a long flight decided to wear very, very tight trousers. Clearly this man was a victim. Women, again and again entrap men like this, with ultra tight clothing, mini skirts and high heels, and then look what she did, got him denounced to police. His whole life ruined. And for what? A quick rub out. I mean it's ludicrous. He should really sue her for contributory negligence, wearing such tight clothing when you have such attractive legs is clearly done on purpose.

What kind of idiot are you approving these acts and putting the blame on the woman… you must be a perv as well. Disgusting comment.

It seems her nickname is Beaut and Pimpaporn is a first name. She owns/runs a company selling beauty products. Her real surname is Aornnicha (as published on her social media accounts and reposted in Thai media). She's an influencer too it seems. And she is very attractive. To clarify she's already posted about this incident on her own social media accounts as a warning to others (BeautAornnicha). So full name and images of her are in the public domain by her own discretion.

We don't know if he's really a pervert. He could be. But we don 't know for sure. All we know is he saw a woman wearing very provocative, ultra-tight, trousers, who had taken drugs and was probably lying very provocatively, and the sight of this aroused in him a very natural sexual urge. We also know the woman then proceeded to have him arrested, handcuffed and banned from Thailand. And you all support this female aggression against a fellow man, it's disgusting.

As one of the very few women who posts occasionally on this forum, I find your attitude disgraceful. 😠

Maybe, maybe not, but unfortunately that attitude is pretty common amongst men who claim women are "asking for it" by what they wear or how they look. What happened to common decency and restraining one's "urges", and especially with a stranger in public? What repulses me is that the the rest of this Pakistani man's group were begging for him to be let off. I can just imagine the scene. 😠

Initially, we all thought it was his real thoughts, but it became weirder and weirder, so I agree with above. He was trolling (he was called out too).

Pakistani passenger jailed after Dubai-Bangkok assault

Come on, she's wearing super tight trousers, pops some drugs, drools, writhes around, she didn't contribute to the situation? She was probably overly friendly with him, passed him a napkin and such, so he misinterpreted this. Easy mistake to make.

I never said that. I said she contributed substantially to the situation. Obviously the man lost his self control and is partly to blame, however, the woman surely precipitated this situation with her tight clothing, taking drugs, and acting like a drooling sex kitten. She was contributorily negligent.

Well, first of all I would not be surprised, as I am aware that I am an unusually handsome and attractive man, and this kind of gay advance has happened a few times already, so I would be mentally prepared for it. I would politely ask him to clean up, shake hands, accept his apology and we would all go our merry way. No way would I get him put in handcuffs, banned from Thailand and deported by police. That would just be vindictive. So I'm attractive, gay men get aroused and masturbate next to me. It's not the end of the wo

Excellent news, hope he suffers everyday.

You are correct about exit row seats.

Only able-bodied passengers who can assist in an emergency are allowed. This is a safety regulation mandated by aviation authorities (FAA, EASA, etc.).

Disabled passengers / special needs: Airlines are required by law (e.g. Air Carrier Access Act in the US and similar rules elsewhere) to provide suitable seating — bulkhead seats, seats with movable armrests, extra space, etc.

Families with young children: Often prioritized to sit together

Airlines cannot systematically prevent all men from sitting next to women or children. That would be illegal gender discrimination in most countries. They are not allowed to treat male passengers as a group of potential threats based solely on their sex.

Women (especially those travelling alone or with children) can often request a seat change if they feel uncomfortable, and many airlines will try to accommodate this when seats are available.

A few airlines (notably IndiGo in India) have introduced systems that let female passengers see which seats are already occupied by other women, so they can choose to sit next to women if they prefer.

not surprised that Indigo in India has this system already and it makes sense. Otherwise it's impossible to separate men fm women unless you have separated cabins, like in Japan many train lines have women-only passenger cars. But this will never happen on a plane, because families want to sit together and not be separated.

Good news, an example made of him and hopefully others will see what this type of behavior gets you. More serious than what one poster thought. That this woman was the victim and 100% the mans wrong behavior..

Correct. In Thailand it is so often about money, not justice. Demand payment and the crime goes unpunished. Someone in my village even got away with murder after he shot dead a kid who was taking apples from his tree. Compensation arranged, the murderer left the village for a while and then returned and is living there as if nothing had happened.

It’s always money first n Thailand. It’s calld Thainess. 🤷🏼

Look Up Pervert in the dictionary and you'll see this man's description: "a person whose sexual behavior is regarded as abnormal and unacceptable"

As a passenger, I agree. Give them to the screaming brat!

Has it actually been confirmed that he has been jailed or is the announcement on Facebook her 'wish list' for the punishment?

I thought he was refused entry to Thailand. If so, has he still been jailed in Thailand? The fine mentioned is in THB so I assume it is indeed in Thailand.

Otherwise, I assume he would have been returned to Dubai. Seems a very quick process if he has been imprisoned already.

For example, on a recent flight from HKG to MAN, I was seated next to a single woman traveller, both of us in our retirement.

I am not sure being in retirement precludes any bad behavior.... Pattaya may be testament to that!

How many cases in your life have you read of men 'jizzing' on women they've been sat next to? I would assume zero.

With that being said and makes it pretty much unheard of, what you suggest is one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard and would be logistically impossible.

It does not have to be that specific... I have heard of a number of cases of guys trying to touch up a sleeping passenger. 170 reported cases in USA in 2024.If it is the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard you lead a very sheltered life.

Of course I would hope not, but who is to say if I'm on a long flight, and see a very attractive woman in provocative, sexy pants, who was perhaps friendly to me and seemed to encourage me, who's to say what could happen? You've never heard of the mile-high club? It happens.

Obviously I have exceptional self-control, but not all men have my iron will.

So if you fall asleep and a dude jerks off onto your clothes you would be ok with it.

No, because he doesn't wear tights or other provocative clothing when he travels.

He's not 'asking for it'.

To be fair, I don;t think the woman in this case was asking for anything!

Yes I was surprised by that too. In the most recent news, she makes it seem that it has already happened. But I don't understand how he could be so immediately convicted and sentenced.

Must have gone through "Fast Track" at the airport!

As someone that flies approx 50 long haul flights a year for the last 30 i'd say i know what i'm talking about.

Trust me, i've led anything but a sheltered life.

Anyway, you sound like another bitter old man, good luck.

I believe some efforts could be made, and I would be very surprised if they were not employed already, It would just be embarrassing for airlines to admit to it and define their criteria. They manage to put disabled in specific seats and abled ones in the exit row, It is currently far from random, else we would hear of more incidents like this since many males are half drunk on board and then are offered more drinks, .. but I would be interested in comments from someone who knows the industry.

Women are moved away from monks so they do not accidentally make contact (I had to change seats a couple times with women moving to my seat) so exceptions can occur ~~ BUT no one expects some Richard cranium to play with himself and do that to/on women’s pants. Disgusting // wonder why FA’s never noticed?
