I don't doubt your sincerity, at all, but the information that you quoted does not state that "up to 65% of girls in Thailand are molested in schools and homes by the time they reach 17" which, I think, is what you are suggesting. Wording is important.

. I read it awhile back, and I know you understand that a large amount of cases aren't reported in all countries. One study said 30%, and if you take the estimated 87% that aren't reported, which is very likely, it would bring the figure way up. If I could find the link I would, as it made me very upset knowing I have a child here, and is a major reason I'll be taking her out of here asap.

In this case the DNA is presumably semen encrusted material consisting of the ladies clothing. A little more than trace DNA that may have been caused by brushing against someone.

There are various rabbit holes that one could go down, sometimes the evidence is overwhelming and it simply is what it is.

Apart from the physical evidence, which the report suggests would be conclusive, I also note a complete absence of protestations from the now convicted accused, that he was innocent.

The report does not seem to indicate whether he pleaded guilty or innocent, so that is a moot point.
