Saudi ladyboy reported missing in Bangkok

I can imagine that if one were a transgender woman from Saudi Arabia, given how that country treats members of the LGBTQ community, the best option would be to find a way to "disappear" in Thailand to avoid having to return to Saudi Arabia.

You would be surprised to find out that the "woke" Saudis are only too quick to accept that these individuals are in fact female, and treat them pretty much exactly the same as real women, but don't get your hopes up.

They are then subject to all the conditions that apply to Saudi Arabian women !, There are very strict regulations that dictate the behaviour of saudi women and very severe punishments , including death for those that do not comply, its their country / their rules, its a common muslim thing that the apologists don't like to mention

Its not just LBGT people that get a rough deal, normal women don't get an easy ride either

If claiming some sort of asylum is their intention they could have chosen a more welcoming place than Thailand the UK and most of Europe seem to accept all-comers these days , and hand out passports like confetti

A ladyboy from Saudi. Let that soak in. The trans people in Saudi Arabia are routinely killed. I feel sorry for this person, but this is what the "religion of peace" does. And they will go internation

Looks like she/he is doing a runner. Should that be correct, then the last thing needed would be any media. On the other hand, the Thai authorities would like to seen doing their job.

Would it not be he/she?

A transgender from Saudi Arabia the last thing they would have wanted is their name plastered all over the Media won't be going back to Saudi Arabia now 😱

Well bearing in mind the op states they have been here over two months on a tourist visa ,they won't be staying here much longer

Is it even legal for saudis to transition?

To be honest, if they "transitioned" fully and lived modestly just like a typical Saudi woman ie. covered from head to toe in a black sack ,etc who would ever know? But if they "transition" into a screeching flamboyant drag queen then they will inevitably attract attention from the authorities

So they go outside the country to do the surgery then?

And hide themselves?

Yeah, could be.

But someone you thought you could trust can rat you out to authorities.

Being a Saudi ladyboy surely has a short shelf-life unless you intentionally disappear yourself or live extremely low profile under the radar... or you'll get disappeared, and it's not as if you can just hop on a plane back to your home country. Also looks like she and her friends could easily have attracted far too much attention to themselves too.

They are not routinely executed, they are treated just like real women get treated over there, can't say fairer than that

He/she may have found a new rich (rare) AN member and be on holiday on one of the tropical islands sipping a Mai Tai.

Or sucking a Mai Thai.

I have no idea whether any surgery has been performed or not , I dont think its a requirement these days , one just "identifies" and that's it apparently , but its clear from the photo that the intention is not only to present "as a woman" but as a "western woman" or at least a woman who enjoys western freedoms, that won't go down to well back home,, Which, assuming she is now on overstay , is exactly where she will soon be returning to

There has been no mention of any "Thai Authorities"

Pretending you are a westerner might be even more offensive than pretending you're a woman to these people.

A trend is clearly developing

Not acting in accordance with ones original gender is severely frowned upon, but those wanting to be treated like women get pretty much what they asked for It won't be the same for women wishing to be treated like men. The worst would be pretending to be non muslim or rejecting ones islamic faith that's a capital offence which will cost ones head

Only from Christian to Muslim

In an Israeli enclave on one of the islands or in Pai. It could be a love story for the ages. Orthodox Jew falls head over heels for Arabian tranny. Which faith would wed them?

marriages in Thailand do not involve "faith" its all registry office stuff, if one wants chanting monks they are always an option, for a fee

I don't suppose the Saudi government will send any officials to search for her.

Things didn't go well when they sent officials to search for the blue diamond.

From what I read in various news articles, the Saudi regime has modernised since those days. The current "person in charge" is not the same one as then. They are even promoting tourism in KSA - a massive change from the 1980s!

If she was on a 60 day visa, which is now expired, then her disappearance would be based on choice.

Elementary dear watson, As nobody would abduct a person who was about to become an overstayer? Not with those BMW smart cars on the case, its asking for trouble

That someone could be in fear of "guilt by association" if they don't toe the line, so to speak.

Absolutely yes. On a layover from Frankfurt to Tokyo I had 12 hours free so I joined a city walking tour. Part of the tour was through the Frankfurt red light district. The guide pointed out a brothel and noted he was told the ladyboy there got the most clients.

Did he go to the Saudi embassy? Could be another Jamal Khashoggi.

According to the foundation, Alzahrani had moved between Airbnb accommodation during their stay, changing properties about every five days.

This alone sounds some alarm bells.

Why would she/he move so often?:

  • Illegal entry?

  • Being held by third parties and moved around?

  • Having lured into the sex trade, entertaining clients from the Arab world?

It does not look good, but let`s hope she/he will be found unharmed.

For his/her sake he/she better not have a connecting flight from Iran back home.

The old words transvestite and transsexual have become taboo nowadays, and everything seems to be lumped together into transgender. Not even sure if pre-op and post-op is pc.

Yes your right.

But we all get to choose what we call them.

A man is a bloke, a dude, a him, and it does not matter what they change.

They will always be a man.

Bored senseless is the most likely explanation. I'd rather be beaten with a ball peen hammer like Bob Crane than use Airbnb but to each his own.
