Zero sympathy!

Especially when according to its previous posts it does not live anywhere the airport or its flight paths.

Just more belly rumbling by the posting nuisance!

Unless you live under either end of the runways then the noise is minimal. (given your previous posts which indicate that you live outside the city area, I have grave doubts regarding this post of you

I object only to the Chiang Mai airport flights. No, you only object to the flights that fly over your house that you bought without checking into the airport flight paths. BTW, I used to live maybe

Evidently you’ve been infected by the syndrome no doubt. You should complain to the whiner that chose to live under a flight path. Yet you continue to dwell there. So you hoping and rooting for econom

What do you mean by "really close" to an airport?

Do you mean: Living in the City of Chiang Mai

You are no-doubt unaware of the magnitude of the noise-pollution scope caused by the CM airport.

If living 10 kilometers away from an airport considered "really close"?

I think HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people here deserve great sympathy.

At home, the sound pressure from the GD planes overflying or flying fairly near is high.

This is a phenomenon which affects a BROAD CORRIDOR for many kilometers both SOUTH of CM airport and NORTH of CM airport.

This affects thousands of students leading to decreased academic performance, and maybe even psychological problems, as these planes overfly schools and universities.

This is NOT a minor annoyance.

And so, since nobody else seems willing to address the problem, Our Last Great White Hope is....obvously....

TRUMP.

If petroleum prices triple, then flying will become more expensive.

Flying now is too cheap.

Nobody thinks twice about paying for it.

This is not right, and is not in accordance with what we know of Global Warming.

....and why do you live thereI live in Sankamphaeng. Quiet

Agreed. In my younger years the noisy ones (from the outside) were thundering early B707's (prior to 'hush kitting ') and B727's.

Amusingly I met a Russian Air traffic management official on a tour at that time.

When asked about airport noise complaints he replied...

" we accept 3 complaints from one person. After 2, we move the person.." 😅

Please let's keep Trump and America at bay. As what ever they touch, be it Trump, Biden ... it ends up in a disaster or a global mess.

First time here?

By boat, thankfully.

Second time here, by boat, I am happy to say.

Sure🤡. You can even buy my house. You will buy a rowing machine, a treadmill, a stepper, a multi heavy gym machine, a gym bike and a gym matt plus the 4bed/bath house and 1 rai. Deal? 😳

This is a fantastic opportunity; the buyer will gain an immaculate, never-used gym right in their own home.

I am very tempted.

It will all boil down to price and financing, of course.

What motivates ME to post this Topic....????

NOISE....that's what.....

I am being bombarded by jet-engine noise from engines attached to wide-body planes, at all hours of the day and night.

I just hope my buddy, Trump, will pull a rabbit out of his hat, and drive up petroleum prices....SKY-HIGH.....

When this happens, air-traffic will drop lower than we have seen it since the Oil Crisis of the Early 1970s....

This is not what I am particularly hoping for...but...this is what I expect to happen.....

If all goes well.

In which area of CM do you now claim to live, when did you claim to have moved there, where from and why did you make that move?

The airport was already there BEFORE you moved there, right? So, that’s on you. It’s the same with people who move into houses right next to a major highway and then complain about the noise! Do your due diligence and research the flight patterns and then start looking for a place to live instead of moving into anything you just like. Airports are noisy. Everyone and their cat knows that.

FALSE

When thinking city planners build or design a city, then they MUST take into account how the city will grow, and plan for it.

This is CITY PLANNING 101.

This was never done for the City of Chiang Mai, in terms of air travel and airport infrastructure.

This remains a HUGE oversight on the planner's part.

Also, the city should have bought up all land that would be affected by extreme noise effects, and then developed it as industrial or farm land.

But, the city, bottom line, did not plan for expansion.

More spittle from Officer Dribble. The old city of Chiang Mai was built in 1296, more than 600 years before the first powered flight.

When did the city planners decide on the location of the offending CM Airport?

Just before making this decision, pre-1921, they should have taken a few moments to imagine how a city such as CM would grow.

They should have bought up all the land that is now under the onslaught of JET NOISE, and turned it into farm land or industrial land.

Or, better yet: NOT located the airport where it now lies.

Also, I doubt that they are enforcing noise abatement rules...but that is another sore subject deserving of its own Topic status.

Stay Tuned.....

For sure, as it stands now, great harm is being caused by the JET NOISE.....offending our ears.

Here is an interesting consideration, the comparison of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (USA) .vs. China's Reserves....

China has 1.4 BILLION barrels in reserve vs about 400 MILLION for the that of the USA.... The USA loses?

Most airports built early on close to metropolitans have moved farther outside. There have been plans to build a new one out in the Tondu area.

That’s not how it works, it appears that your parent(s) forgot to idiot proof you. Besides, according to one of your other posts you claim you live in a quiet area with little traffic and now you’re whining about air traffic noise which would put squarely in a concrete jungle. Again, your credibility falters and you’re not in cm.

It has no credibility and unless it is nocturnal it is not in Thailand going by its posting times!

During the past two weeks, both road traffic and air traffic have increased markedly, with air traffic to China having increased hugely.

Beginning today, there has been some respite....IDK Why.....

But, I do not expect this 24 hiatus to last long.

Perhaps there was so reason for Chinese tourism to double the past two weeks, due to school holidays.

Do you know?

Starlux, China southern, Jeju and Eastjet have all increased 2-7 flights each a week here beginning in early-mid July.

So this explains much of it.

Hopefully, they will cease and desist with their increased flights, ASAP.

Are you saying that all these added flights are in and out of CM airport?

Why should you care and post all this crap since you are non-resident complaining about them!
