Unless you live under either end of the runways then the noise is minimal. (given your previous posts which indicate that you live outside the city area, I have grave doubts regarding this post of you

I object only to the Chiang Mai airport flights. No, you only object to the flights that fly over your house that you bought without checking into the airport flight paths. BTW, I used to live maybe

Evidently you’ve been infected by the syndrome no doubt. You should complain to the whiner that chose to live under a flight path. Yet you continue to dwell there. So you hoping and rooting for econom

All 93 to China?

I would not be surprised.

I do not like the flights taking off for Korea, China-Taipei, and China.

What difference does the destination of flights have wrt to so called noise pollution over a non-existing house?

Even more importantly you always claim that China is your favourite country!

I live within 3km of the airport and the flights have no impact on me whatsoever!

The moaner in chief, when it last claimed to be in Northern Thailand, claimed to be miles from anyone else.

Now he is nocturnal (going by the timings of its postings) I have zero belief in its constant whinging about either a non-existent problem or, if real, a self-inflicted one!

A pity you're too slack to do your own research. More than 50% of flights are from or to Bangkok. All departures take off on the same initial heading, which is dictated by the wind direction, and can only be either to the north or south. Deviation from existing airways and approved approaches near CM is limited by high terrain, especially to the west. Noise abatement is standard but aircraft cannot reduce much thrust while climbing over populated areas near to the airport.

A second new ("Lanna") airport was proposed a few years ago but I can't find any recent news on this. Maybe you could give the mayor a call? Or go live in Kai Tak? Much quieter there these days.

Concerning the second new airport:

Rumors never amount to much around here.

The good news is that, today, the air traffic flying over and around me has diminished by a huge number.

Monday Night was still incredibly noisy.

Tuesday proved less noisy, and today is rather quiet, comparatively.

I really don't know what happened for about a 2-week period, ending this past Monday Night.

I hope this is not repeated.

I hope your nonsensical posts on this, and most topics of yours, are not repeated!

Just get a Thai girlfriend then get her an Ipad. All you'll hear is TikTok all day.

When thinking city planners build or design a city, then they MUST take into account how the city will grow, and plan for it.

This is CITY PLANNING 101.

This was never done for the City of Chiang Mai, in terms of air travel and airport infrastructure.

This remains a HUGE oversight on the planner's part.

Also, the city should have bought up all land that would be affected by extreme noise effects, and then developed it as industrial or farm land.

But, the city, bottom line, did not plan for expansion.

Doesn't change the fact that the airport was already there before you moved there, so that's on you. You can twist and turn that now for as long as you want.

The problem is that if one needs to be close enough to all that is important in a city, one must accept being bombarded with dangerous noise.

This is not a bargain the general population should be forced to make.

The city plan is completely broken.

And, the most used runway points STRAIGHT AT THE CAMPUS OF CMU.

You are just reacting without seriously evaluating the consequences of the Airport Positioning.

Why don't you research the health consequences?

Why don't you report on the impacts on schools and universities?

Stop being lazy, Sir.

Get up off your duff and google.....!!!!!

And, by the way:

Just in case you have not completely guessed by now....

This Topic is really about the impact of oil scarcity on airline travel, AFTER the emergency reserves run out, or run very low, while the Hormuz Straight remains simultaneously closed.

So, what are you thoughts on that?

That is NOT what YOUR topic title says!

You have obviously accepted that your topic is a load of BS! and you are now trying to change the whole topic.

I wish you would give it a rest and find something useful to do apart from polluting AN with your non sensical hogwash!

I’m gonna bow out now because this is getting tedious. You argue like a conspiracy theorist. You lost your argument and now you’re trying to drag me into a whole other topic that has absolutely nothing to do with the original point. If you were a barber, I’m sure you’d complain about having to broom up all the hair after a cut, too. So, bye-bye! I don’t have time for this sh.t!

Dear Folks,

When he is done helping you guys, can you send me down to Pattaya?

We have some noise issues, early mornings. The nightclubs on soi Kophai are very noisy and their patrons.

This has been an issue for decades, let's hope Donald can help us 🙏

CM will gladly send it to you but please promise to not allow it any access to AN!

Ever since the arrival of COVID, which is still with us, I do not frequent barbers.
