I believe it goes:

0-10 posts = Newbie

11-99 posts = Member

100-299 = Advanced Member

300+ = Senior Member

After that it goes up by colours... silver, platinum, etc.

After 500 posts you can change your member status. Like mine. My member is hidden by my kilt. Or JDs Star member etc etc.

Star Member is actually the forum default setting for members with over 10,000 posts.

There is a full listing here somewhere in the support forum, but I have a meeting to go to now so I'll search for it when I return.

After a brief search, I found it here.

To reiterate, it works on post count:

Newbie 0

Member 10

Advanced Member 30

Senior Member 100

Super Member 1000

Platinum Member 2000

Titanium Member 5000

Star Member 10000

Member groups are another identifier:

Members 0-499 posts

Advanced Members 500 or more posts

Other groups are Moderators, Super-Moderators, Admin, Banned & RIP.

You mean 20,000 doesn't get you a new member title?

A RIP title?

So I take it if you find out a member has passed away you then give them that title?

:o

Correct.

The reasoning for this is to "explain" why a member has recently disappeared, and to help prevent other members from trying to contact that member.

Totster :D
