Those same countries spent decades refusing formal relations with Israel because of the old Arab consensus. And blaming the 2018 embassy move for the 2023 October 7 massacre is pure fantasy. Hamas planned that attack for years. Pretending a U.S. embassy decision “precipitated” it is just another way to avoid admitting the Accords proved peace was possible without rewarding rejectionism. That’s why it has to be smeared.

With oil production, Trump rode on Obama’s coattails just as he did later on Biden’s. The U.S. shale revolution that drove the production surge began well before Trump.

Trump repeatedly promised 'peace in the Middle East' and presented the Abraham Accords as delivering that peace.

Given the subsequent Gaza and Iran war, was Trump lying?

No, you’ve got it all wrong. Hatred is a base emotion, and emotions are not what’s at play here. I’m able, for the most part, to look at information, use reason to sort out fact from fiction, and draw conclusions. You, and every other Trump acolyte I’ve run across, have no response to this, as the facts are only rarely on your side. So, rather than presenting a cogent argument why Americans need to spend $300 million on this ballroom, which is what this subject thread is about, all you’ve got is: Anyone against this project must hate Trump! Hate, hate, hate! Whether one “hates” Trump or not has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

We all know what this is about. Trump wants it, and therefore the left wants to stop it. Whether that makes any sense or not is beside the point.

Perhaps certain people should spend their time worrying about things that matter.

In reality, I was just giving back some of the absolute glee on the left when the lower inferior courts blocked the President from making changes in the President's house. 300 million is a tiny percentage of the grifts happening in CA, MN, IL and NY. Barely a rounding error. Where's the left's outrage around that? There is none. Proving that it's just performative. Do better.

Your information is incomplete. Roughly half of the estimated $600 million cost is indeed coming from private donors. The other half, over $300 million, is coming from taxpayers via allocations to federal agencies.

More reporting from The Washington Post on the Trump White House ballroom grift — and the numbers are getting harder to explain.

The Trump administration told the Supreme Court the new White House ballroom project is 65% complete.

The total contract is $600 million, including the ballroom, major security work and the bunker.

The agreed contract says the contractor is paid based on the percentage of work completed, and the administration says it has spent about $200 million.

So how does that 33% square with a claim that the project is 65% complete — the figure in the DOJ’s sworn filing to the Supreme Court?

Is Blanche lying for the misleader again? More importantly, does misleading the Supreme Court really matter anymore?
