Even if there were threats, attempt stabbing, extortion, no excuse to beat her head in, then stuff her in a suitcase to suffocate.

Where was that reported to have been the circumstances? I thought you were a better person than that.

No he's not innocent but hasn't yet been found guilty I'm court. Let's be honest he's guilty as sin

Actually, he is innocent at the moment - let's be honest.

Nowhere, at any stage, has there ever been any suggestion that she was stabbed.

Plus it doesn't really matter she's dead, was stuffed ins suitcase, dumped near a railway track with the person seen wheeling the suitcase out of the hotel caught trying to leave the country, who when arrested spins a way-out story about self-defence.

But he innocent according to our resident pendant.

If Ripley's "Believe it or Not" was still published it would be the lead story.

Ripley's Believe It or Not is still published and it is not the lead story.

You must be kidding me. Any person with an IQ above 120 knows he's guilty

Any person with an IQ above 40 knows that he is not guilty, he is innocent until he's been convicted in court.

Presumed innocent until convicted, yes.

He will be killed in the "Bkk Hilton" anyways so life or the death penalty is immaterial.

Maybe the accused's lawyer if he gets one will plead insanity for him

As to the IF he gets one:

Thai Criminal Procedure Code Section 173:

Before the trial begins, the court must determine if the defendant has legal representation. If not, one will be appointed. The court will also consider the financial circumstances of the defendant in assigning legal representation.

NB And it may turn out that anything Mr. Carman said prior to the lawyer being appointed, however ill-advised, I don't think it will have a direct bearing on the actual resolution of the case.

NB And to the above under Thailand law, if a legitimate self-defense claim is approved, all charges are dismissed. So you can you can forget that one as noted above the defense must be 'proportional' response.

Thailand criminal Code -- Section 68. Self Defense

Whoever commits any act for the defense of his own right or other person's right in order to except from a danger arising out of violence tortuous to the law and such danger to be imminent, if reasonably having committed under the circumstance, such act is a lawful defense, and such person shall not have a quilt.

NB2 and I mean murder-type charges not those linked to disposing of body

Lets hope they don't get a jury with an IQ around 40 and slightly above (As per Google: Standard psychological and medical manuals classify a score between 35 or 40 and 55 as moderate to severe intellectual impairment)

They would most likely end up with a hung jury as they all decided this was too hard, had no idea and committed suicide. Would you not agree Mr Lou?🤣

There is no jury in Thailand but a panel of judges.

Wow. I must admit I was not aware of that. Now that I am now I know why so many corrupt individuals being the the Hi so, such as Red bull, get off from their crimes.

Thank goodness for the western (farang system) version of how a case should be handled. It's the best system where 12 jury members are chosen by random amongst the population and the decision to to decide who is to stay on the jury is between the Prosecutor and the defence lawyer until they agree on the 12 jury members.

Cuts out all the corrupt decisions enforced by the Hi so officials where the judges are worried about making decisions that do not keep their masters happy.

No internet for prisoners in Thai prisons.

Are you out of touch with the real world, next you will be saying there are no illegal phones in thai prisons and all officials are incorruptible.

Actually, he isn't. He still hid the body and tried to bugger off.

And that is far superior to the system in the U.S. Where a jury of saps aquites a guilty person. Like oj simpson

The fact is, he is innocent, for now. He's not even been indicted yet.

Do you think that he will get a not guilty verdict on all charges and walk away from Court as a free man ?

It doesn't matter what I think, what does matter is that he is innocent until proven guilty and, so far, he's not even appeared in court.

No, that is presumed innocent, rather than is innocent. was he innocently wheeling that suitcase out for a walk? That is not an innocent man. He is only presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. That doesn't mean that he is innocent.

He is not innocent and everyone, including your pedantic self, knows that. It's just a matter of putting the case together and letting the prosecutors loose on it.

No, presuming him to be innocent means that, right now, legally, he is innocent.

Yes, we all know the situation .

We all know how the law works .

He's currently accused of a crime and awaiting trial where hes very highly likely to be found guilty of a crime

So address your comment to the ones that very clearly don't, not me, I know all that already. He's actually awaiting indictment, not trial, so far the Prosecutor has not accepted the case for trial.
