I have this annoying problem with IE bookmarks.

Almost every day one of my frequently used bookmarks

becomes invalid. The error message says

" the target of this Internet shortcut is no longer valid.

Go to Internet Shortcut property sheet ...."

Anyone seen this one before ?

My AVG, Spybot and Nod32 do not pick up any problems.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Are you running AVG and Nod32 at the same time? That alone can cause problems. The AVG installation is redundant, get rid of it.

Seconded ! AVG is useless. Try Avast (free) : http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Are you sure this is a virus/malware problem? It sounds more as if the site's URL changes frequently. Is the URL along the lines of www.xyz.com? Or is it more complicated, possibly including a date or session number? It may simply be a matter of trimming the end off the URL.

Thanks for the suggestion..... but I do not think that is it.

Even www.google.com gets this message at times.

Will let everyone know if I am able to track it down.
