By why criticise someone who contributes? Why aren't you criticising the people who don't contribute at all or who kill threads through their inability to hold their own in any discussion?

Many people don't post because they don't like certain rules applied unevenly. It's been discussed here before.

Yep, mainly mind numbingly inane topics from Mr. High IQ, with barely a substantive point to any of them. Very few about Asia too, as you said. These days the pub seems to consist largely of two or three of those a day, with very little else happening.

Judging from the various responses on this topic, it seems most people have reached much the same conclusion. There simply isn’t a great deal left beyond the daily dump from the self proclaimed resident genius.

There is actually a lot happening in Asia; economically, politically, culturally, socially, etc. But most just aren't so interested. So it's not an issue of a lack of topics. I could easily start one or more about Asia everyday. But most probably wouldn't be any more interested in them than they are in the steady flow of trash from the house loon.
