Since you are such a big fan of rules, let me introduce you to this one:

Yes, it is against the ASEAN NOW Forum Rules to talk about other members. [1]

  • Rule 31 states: "You will not publicly discuss other members or post any member's personal information including but not limited to emails, social media messages, private messages, photos or website details".

Interesting that you started a brand-new topic specifically to complain about another member. Granted, in your OP you did not mention the member by name but, with your detailed description, everyone knew who you were complaining about. As the thread progressed along, the member's name was then mentioned several times, and some of his posts became part of the discussion. In my view, you broke the rules to specifically complain about another member, and then suggested that new rules be made to ban what you don't like. Why suggest more rules when, in my view, you don't even follow them yourself? Rather than start a new topic to complain about another member, why didn't you contact a moderator directly?

You and a few of your supporters have also made comments about how moderators should be handling this situation. I certainly may be wrong, but it seems to me that you walk a fine line with the rules yourself. Look at this one:

Yes, it is against the rules on ASEAN NOW to publicly discuss or comment on moderation in open forum threads. [1, 2]

The Rule

  • Public comments prohibited: The community guidelines explicitly state that users must not comment on moderation publicly in open threads. [1]

I think it needs a name change from the Pub to the GammaGlobulin show , he posts such controversial subjects on here ,some would say crap and none of them is a one-liner regards worgeordie

  • Posting inane YouTube videos with some tenuous connection to the topic doesn't help the conversations. Imagine you're in a real pub having a lively debate with your mates, and one of them says "here'

Looks like this topic has reached its natural conclusion, with no further posts since my last post earlier this morning.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to chime in, share their views, and contribute to the discussion. I appreciate all the different perspectives that were offered.

I think we can leave it here and let the topic rest. Thanks again, everyone.
