They will send you a letter at unpredictable intervals which must be returned within a certain time or otherwise your 'benefit' will be stopped. They will not make any concession for lost letters in either direction. The advice to send a form every year regardless seems to be rather good.

The 16 week delay was summer of 2025. I have no idea if there is currently a delay in processing news pension claims.

Galling isn't it ..a 'benefit ' which they advised me to add NI payments to get the full state pension. ..How many who are getting benefits having very little .It's clear the UK budget will tax more pensions and discourage people to save. Labour socialist trash never fail to live up to expectations. I am old enough to remember the 1970s and the disaster the Socialists rained on the country .And this Burnham parachuted in character is blaming Mrs T for the economic problems,36 years after she left office .I actually have a deep-seated hate of what the UK has become ,and my sister and brother there say the country is 'going down the sewer" and 'you are fortunate not living here'
