Mr. Jingthing, if you read his posts across the forum, has a real Love/Hate thing going with Thailand - like many farangs who are retired here - he's not unique. On the one hand he is highly critical of Thai nationalism, and on the other hand he's scared to death that the Thai authorities might eventually decide to toss foreigners like himself out of the country. He doesn't have a real Plan B.

Everyone needs a Plan B, and Plan C for that matter. And then stop worrying and enjoy your life here in the LOS.

Rather it locks them up in the Immigration Detention Centre indefinitely but places the onus on the foreigner to buy a direct flight to their home country (if such a flight exists) with the assistance of friends and family members on the outside. The funds most certainly do not come from the Thai government.

Therefore, the Thai Prime Minister's insistence on speedier deportations could be very easily accomplished by the Thai Government flying them out. Somehow, I am very confident this is not what he meant but it would achieve his goal.

I am thinking that the long awaited tourist tax could usefully be used as a deportation tax. They don't really intend to use any of it to actually benefit tourists so at least it would be better than simply lining someones pocket.

You mention noted correctly which is what the heart of the problem today which the majority of people visiting or living here don't get the big picture.

When it comes to the leaders of this country I personally don't give a rat ass who they are and even whether they went to Harvard or not the are all in the same boat corrupt because to be in office any part of government anywhere in Thailand it is all about nepotism old boys network.

I don't think there is one person in government when watching the tube at night the channel that shows government events nightly aren't related in some manner. Personally there is no rags to rich stories that a person can come from nothing and ne PM of this country.

I don't pay much attention to the guy Anutin if he has said and done the things as noted at least I know where he stands he isn't much different than the lowest and highest Thai I've met they might not say it to your face but that pride is embedded in all of them.
