Friday at 01:16 PM2 days Popular Post I am beginning to believe that the only good Foreigner in Anutins eyes is a Dead Foreigner. He hates them to the bone.

Friday at 02:11 PM1 day 6 hours ago, Briggsy said:Please correct me if I am wrong.Whilst Thailand has a process for cancelling a foreigner's permission to stay, it does not actively deport foreigners. Rather it locks them up in the Immigration Detention Centre indefinitely but places the onus on the foreigner to buy a direct flight to their home country (if such a flight exists) with the assistance of friends and family members on the outside. The funds most certainly do not come from the Thai government. Therefore, the Thai Prime Minister's insistence on speedier deportations could be very easily accomplished by the Thai Government flying them out. Somehow, I am very confident this is not what he meant but it would achieve his goal.it would appear you might be wrong "He told provincial authorities not to delay an expulsion because of uncertainty over the cost of an air ticket. Provinces could pay first and later arrange reimbursement, he said." I cant get over the hysteria on this threadIf you aren't fighting in the streets, working illegally, involved in any of this nominee rubbish , or murdering prostitutes you have little to worry about ,

Friday at 02:35 PM1 day And anyway other than a throwaway comment he made during covid about some foreigners not showering as often as they should can we please have some more examples of Anutins alleged history of "xenophobia" and his "Hatred" of foreigners because I'm struggling to find anything of significance11 hours ago, EvetsKram said:He's always been a racist, don't you remember him as health ministerI remember him clearly what made him a racist? you sound like a leftist, that crap stands for nothing hereStating that some foreigners do not shower as often as they should is hardly racist11 hours ago, spidermike007 said:as the Director of Immigration he displayed very ugly racist tendencies and was frequently quoted as saying very nasty things, such as the unwashed foreignersWhat ugly racist tendencies? what hurty words? Friday at 09:19 PM1 day He didn't mention Oceania, so if you get pulled, just tell em that you're from Papua New Guinea and therefore exempt from deportation.

Yes, if you are an honest worker on a work permit or retiree or supporting a Thai spouse then you 'should' be ok in the eyes of the government. No, it's not hysteria, because we all get tarred with the same brush as the farang cheaters, the farang who doesn't learn to blend in quietly, the fighters and drunken loudmouths, those trying to acquire Thai land for homes and business (that compete with Thais). That's has a knock-on negative feeling affecting us all in the eyes of Thais. Not hysteria.

On the one hand he is highly critical of Thai nationalism, and on the other hand he's scared to death that the Thai authorities might eventually decide to toss foreigners like himself out of the country. He doesn't have a real Plan B. Everyone needs a Plan B, and Plan C for that matter. And then stop worrying and enjoy your life here in the LOS.I consider the above a flame/ad hominem attack.I am not the topic Kindly desist.

Yesterday at 07:41 AM1 day 21 hours ago, spidermike007 said:I'm not sure if we're reading the same history text but Thailand was occupied by Japan during World War II. They were basically given a choice by the Japanese to be occupied or colonized and they chose occupation as the lesser of two evils. Thailand was actually considered an enemy of the allies and there were several bombing raids that took place over Bangkok. It wasn't until mid to late 1944 that Thailand grew large enough cojones to stop cooperating with the Japanese, as they were already on their knees due to their massive and multiple failed campaigns in Burma and throughout the Pacific.A little known fact is that for every ton of food, clothing and medicine supplied to Allied soldiers in Burma by the middle of 1944, the Japanese were receiving just one kilo. That's just how desperate things were for Japan by the middle of 44.However if you skip forward to the 1960s America plowed billions of dollars into Thailand to help build its railways, highways and other infrastructure and an argument could be made that without that investment Thailand might still be a relatively insignificant backwater. Obviously America had its agenda due to the Vietnam War but it was still a massive investment nonetheless, and it was done at a time when Thailand was still quite primitive and undeveloped.Fool's like Anutin tend to forget that kind of thing, as it's very likely he's never read a history book. With regards to the USA bombing Bangkok which I did not know that had occurred so I google why they did this and the answer was;"Strategic Targets: The Bombing of Bangkok in World War II targeted Japanese military installations, airfields, docks, railway stations (such as Hua Lamphong and Bangkok Noi), and power plants, since Thailand was occupied by or allied with Japanese forces during parts of the war". Which I felt was important to add to your comment regarding this matter.

Yesterday at 08:09 AM1 day Today I said to my sister I want to be cremated and she said where? My response was offer my Thai wife my ashes but do not put pressure on her to take them as choice two is to be dropped in the beautiful ocean where we live. My guess after my death she will go back to Thailand to be with her family there. She is very close to them. I also added to my sister if my wife is questioned at Thai border security and they ask about this jar of ashes to just tell them it won't be buried otherwise Anutin will get p..ssed off.😂

As I said, I was referring to allied war graves, not POW graves (no fighting/combat in Thailand - just some bombing raids). There was fighting on Thai soil, initially Thai forces against the Japanese in the first few days of landing. Later the Brits sent Indian Army troops into Thailand and ended up fighting Thai border forces. And it didn't end there. Once Op Krohcol continued deeper into Thailand, it fought the Japanese at The Ledge, on the road towards Betong. The British force suffered more than 200 casualties before withdrawing Its all in the RAF's chronicles of the ops Malaya/Thailand.
