Aquarium / Fish Pond Supply Shops

Featured Replies

I am looking for some supplies to spruce up some large aquariums and set up a filter system on an existing koi pond. I had perused some older threads referring to some shops on Threpasit road but up and back down it today i couldn't find a single one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a shop that stocks these type of supplies?

one on south rd just past that huge new development on the left as you are leaving town maybe the biggest shop?, many small shops all over town cant think of any large ones

Last time I was at Chatuchak Weekend Market there was a huge range of gear & fish

I know that this is the Pattaya forum, but next time you're in Bangkok you could try the 5th floor of Seri Center on Srinakorin. It's called something like Aqualibra (or Aqua...something).

Not in Pattaya, but just a short drive away down in Ban Chang, there's a very good shop with heaps of fish, plants etc.

It's tucked away in a small soi that runs parallel with the street that houses all "those" bars... Camel Pub etc.

If coming down Sukhumvit from Pattaya, as you come into Ban Chang, turn left at the first set of traffic lights, take the first turn left, then first right, then first left... and then right again... the shop should be on your left hand side. It's 2 sois over behind the Bar Strip soi.

Hope thats not too confusing...

a big one is on third road past south pattaya rd and heading toward jomtien/thappraya rd on the left side just after tony's gym.another is on left side of naklua rd heading north from the dolphin circle.the weekend market on thepprassit road next to tesco/fashion outlet mall has lots of fish/pets.

As with 'bowthai' - the one I use is on Third Road - well South.

Cross Pattaya Tai (traffic lights) continue past Tony's Gym on the right - continue over the next traffic lights (Soi 17) and a hundred metres or so on the left is a large open-fronted shop.

In the basement of Tukom IT centre, South Pattaya Rd, there is a shop selling electronic parts and gizmos at very low prices.

They also have a lot of aquarium supplies like pumps and filters. As everything else in that shop is fairly cheap you may get a good deal there on what you need.

Thanks for the replies guys, I will have to give those places a look.

My wife just acquired a small restaurant with several large fish tanks that are in pretty bad shape (dirty mostly) so I am trying to get them spruced up a little.

Since I really don't know much about aquarium's I may be asking more questions later.

What kind of lights are generally used, am i right in thinking black lights for the top? Is there any draw back to these? I wanted to get some background paper for the back and add some lights....after I get them cleaned up anyway.

Right now I don't even know if they are fresh or saltwater tanks but I am guessing fresh :o

The place I told you about - looks like one of these open-air furniture stores, but is basically fish and aquaria - has a good staff in it.

They have cleaned out our aquarium a couple of times, replaced defective parts, will replace fish (my wife likes to change all fish every few months) and so on. They offer a regular maintenance service if you need it.
