*wanted* Help About Tourist Visa Etc.

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have a question about tourist visas and visa on arrival stamps.

1. How many tourist visas can you use for Thailand in a year? I mean; I heard and read a lot of different stories. I read stories about people who travel EVERY 3 months to Penang or Kuala Lumpur or other outside Thailand cities, and go to the Thai-embassy there and go back to Thailand the next day with a tourist visa for 90 days. If this is true, then it is easy I travel to Penang every 3 months. No hassle to go to Poi-Pet or Ban Laem to get a visa stamp on arrival (30 days) an try to escape from the flight ticket question;)

What I always believed was that you can get 2 tourist visas a year and the rest you have to go and do border-runs. Meaning; tourist visa 60 days + 30 days extension, then 3 monthly border-runs and then the same again. BUT now with the return ticket asked thing this is difficult!! I heard about ''Jackgolf'', I never tried it....?!

My question is; if there is no limit on the number of tourist visas a year, then I will go to Penang or so (any suggestions?) every 3 months to stay in beautiful Thailand and don't have hassle with the 90 days on arrival stamps, ''you know the hand-writting 1,2 and 3 together with the stamps;) If this is not the case then please tell me a way to avoid the return flight ticket question at the border.

Thanks,

Tom

There is no fixed limit on the number of tourist visas allowed.
