STRESSFUL MAN ENDS UP HIS LIFE WITH INSECTICIDE

Distraught middle age man left his ranch to be a truck driver, but still not enough to make a living. He ended up taking insecticide to commit suicide.

On the 5 September 2007, at 11.00 AM, Pol.Sub.Lt. Wirat Testhong, Banglamung, Chonburi, was notified that a man took poison to commit suicide at a house No. 350, Moo 10, Baan Sark-Gnaew, Huey-Yai, Banglamung, Chonburi. Police team and Sawang Boriboon redcue rushed to investigate.

Arriving at the incident, officials found a deceased body of Mr. Songkran Rang-sawai (42) in the living room. He was in a red shirt and black jeans, presumably he had been dead for three hours. There was a pack of Fornate 40, insecticide and a glass which had some poison left inside. Officials confiscated as evidence.

Mrs. Gar-Long Sae-Tang (75), mother of Mr. Songkran told police that her son used to work for his ranch but did not make any money. He left the ranch to be a truck driver, but still did not have enough money to survive. He once said that he wanted to die from this world. She could only console him to calm him down.

On the night of incident, Mr. Songkran kept himself quiet in his room for a long period of time. Mrs. Gar-long was concerned and went in to have a look. She was shocked to see her son was wriggling and struggling in the room. She immediately called her cousins to take him to the hospital, but he did not survive.

Police assumed that Mr. Songkran was too stressful for not having enough job as a truck driver and no money, then decided to take insecticide to kill himself.
