Get a tourist visa from a Thai consulate – in Hull, Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Swansea, etc. – in your country. You can apply by mail, which is useful if you live far from the nearest consulate.

With a tourist visa, you will receive permission to stay for 60 days and, before the end of the 60 days, you can apply at any immigration office in Thailand for a 30-day extension.

I you want to tour Thailand for more than 90 days, get a tourist visa for two or three entries.

Or perhaps the consulate will give you a multiple-entry non-immigrant visa category O, valid for an unlimited number of entries into Thailand for one year. Call the consulate and ask. With this visa you would get a 90-day permission to stay on each entry.
