excerpt from the Bangkok Post

In the southern province of Phangnga, heavy rain triggered a mudslide which hit a famous scenic point at the Khao Lak tourist spot.

The mudslide rooted out a roadside concrete wall and damaged the road surface.

The Meteorological Department yesterday urged the public to stay on alert for extreme weather phenomena which might occur over the next two weeks.

The agency also issued a flash flood warning after detecting a low pressure zone across the Central region and an intense southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea.

Also reported flooding in Khao Sok, from a couple of days ago
