Air Card , Vista Problem ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I bought a aircard last week at CAT TELECOM, they told me this is a new model USB : CDMA 1xEV-DO CCU-650.

I tried to connect on my computer with Vista Business and it seems that the driver isn't compatible. The connection is very slow and unstable. Someone met this problem, i can't find the driver compatible with vista, where i can get it?

Thanks a lot :o

The new modem you bought is actually not a Sierra Wireless "AirCard". The CCU-650U modem you have is made by C-motech in Korea.

Checking the manufacturer's website for this product reveals that currently support is limited to Windows 2000 and Windows XP. http://www.cmotech.com/english/products/pro_10.html

You might try downloading the newest version of their driver from this same website to see if its compatible with Vista. Even though this modem doesn't support the newest EVDO standards, its listed as a current product on their website, which provides some hope that they may release a driver for Vista sometime.

You might also try googling "CCU-650U c-motech vista" to see if anyone's hacked a driver for Vista.

Hi

I have the card, did not have any problems, used the cd for software, vista business as well
