Spam Blocker

Featured Replies

I have my own Domain :

I am getting a lot of Spam coming in probably a 100 a day :

I have tried some of the free spam blockers but they slow up outlook express or mess up your settings sometimes :

Any suggestions on a good programme

Are you use your own Mail server as well? The spam goes to where on your domain? And who is your DNS-Hosting service?

yes I use my own mail Server and it is hosted in the UK

The Best... MailWasher by far. They just relesed MailWasher Pro v6 a few days ago.

MailWasher Home Page

They also have a FREE server edition.

I've ownee my own domain, with mail-mapping, since 1984. I get ANYTHING sent to my Domain, including all bounce-backs and rejections from mail sent out by spammers spoofing my domain.. so there are days when I can easily get 1,000, email in a 12 hour period... not often, but it's happened... they just don't stop coming, until the Spammers change their attack parameters.

Mailwasher handles it all easily... Just get your filters set right.. that can take a little time while you figure out which things to filter for.. and MailWasher learns from you too.

Once you got it.. sit back and relax..

BUT.. remeber, nothing is perfect.. I've learned to Eye scan all Subjects and Senders quickly before deleting them from mail server.. just in case... BTW.. New Version has an UnDelete, if you do make a mistake... it can recover deleted mail. I haven't had any Spam on my computer in YEARS... It's all done On the server.. nothing downloads to my computer unless I let it.

Another think I do, when I'm travelling and I want to control My Server inbox... I use Mail2Web.com

Mail2Web Home Page

It doesn't filter.. but with only a hundred Emails a day, you can quickly Eye-Scan for Spam, etc.. Then delete the mail from the Server.. Then Download to computer, only what you want.

Good luck.
