Mango outlook good

AGRICULTURE :Thai mango exports to Japan appear promising this year, as mangoes from rival countries such as Taiwan, India and the Philippines are facing chemical residue problems, according to the Agriculture Ministry.

Thailand's share of the Japanese mango market has risen to about 23% this year from 14% at the end of last year, according to Montol Jeamchareon, deputy secretary-general of the Office of Agricultural Economics.
