New data link cannabis use and heart disease: Who paid for this?
It depends on whether you see complacency as a problem. Some people might, especially over time. Others embrace it and enjoy drifting into a kind of complacent bliss. I think it’s actually better for retired people and worse for young people. If you’re young and supposed to be out in the world fighting for your place, that’s hard to do as a heavy weed smoker. But once you’re retired, there’s nothing to worry about. -

Crime Prosecutors Take Over Golf’s Cambodian Casino Gambling Case
Picture courtesy of Khoasod. The high-profile online gambling case involving local politician Siradon Phlaiduang, widely known as “Golf,” has now been classified as a transnational crime, following revelations of financial links to a major Cambodian casino operation reportedly controlled by a close associate of former Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen. At a press conference on 6 August, held at the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwphan, Commissioner of the CCIB, confirmed that investigators had concluded their inquiry into Golf’s involvement in the illicit gambling network. The investigation uncovered clear financial transactions linking Golf’s online gambling operation to a casino owned by Kok An, an influential figure in Cambodia and a long-time confidant of Hun Sen. Police revealed that the financial offices of the online gambling enterprise were based inside Kok An’s casino premises. Given the international elements of the case, the CCIB has submitted all evidence and case files to the Office of the Attorney General, which has accepted it as a transnational case. This transfer places the investigation under the authority of the Attorney General, allowing for cross-border legal proceedings. Previously, Golf had faced charges of assault and illegal gambling. However, the international nature of the operation, spanning national borders and involving foreign financial entities, has elevated the case’s legal complexity and jurisdiction. Authorities have announced that further investigations will now target other individuals connected to the broader criminal network. Police and prosecutors aim to dismantle the syndicate and bring all involved parties to justice. The case marks one of Thailand’s most significant cross-border gambling probes in recent years and reflects increasing regional cooperation in tackling organised cybercrime. pot may be one of the more benign drugs on the surface. however, it may lull people into complacency. maybe smoking it every single day is what causes problems.
