Air Cond Remote Control Reset

Featured Replies

I have a Mitsubishi Airconditioner with remote control. After changing the batteries in the remote, the temp shows at zero degrees (although the actual temperature in the room is normal). I have tried to reset the remote by pressing a paper clip in the "ACL" hole, but this doesn't help.

Any advise how to get the remote back to showing actual temperature again? I changed batteries many times in the past, but never seen it like this...

Sounds to me like its broken. It should display just fine with the new batteries otherwise, I don't think you need to reset anything.

If I press "up arrow" it shows +1, if I press "down arrow" two times after that it shows -1 degrees, etc. Looks like the "base temp" on the remote is +-0 for some reason. Hmmm...

With fresh Bat. and a reset it should be working normal.  Next time ya go by a shop with that type A/C see if it will work on a unit in the shop. If it does then it might be the receiver in the A/C, but most like to be the remote itself.

It does sound knackered too me also. We've got Mitsu Aircon in all room with the same remote you're on about - and when I've change the batteries I've never even done a reset and never had a problem. I know it say reset it but I just can't see any reason to reset a remote! :o

Did you replace the old batteries with the same type? (rechargeable or non-rechargeable).
