On Saturday night a 27-year-old Thai lady and her foreign boyfriend contacted the Tourist Police mobile unit on Walking Street to ask for their help in recovering the woman’s handbag which she had inadvertently left in the back of a baht bus.

The police responded quickly and conducted a quick operation by stopping as many baht buses as they could find in the general area of Beach Road and Second Road. Luckily, police were able to locate the baht bus concerned and retrieve the handbag. This was brought to the mobile unit where the contents, one diamond ring and three gold necklaces, were found to be intact and returned to the owner.

I hope she thanked the cops that found her purse...
