Following the Thai government annual reshuffle, it assigned provincial governors and senior officials in provincial levels for different posts and promotions, and Krabi’s two vice governors were transferred. While Mr. Chai Panitchpornphan moved to take up the same post in Lampang, Vice Governor Kiattisak Mulasart moved to Samut Sakorn. The two new vice governors are Tanwakom Khemasiri from Satun and the under secretary to the Governor’s Office Mr. Chailert was promoted to Vice Governor.

The Krabi Governor Siwa Sirisaowaluck said for the fiscal year of 2008 which starts from this October he would not introduce new policies, but pursue and continue the government’s ‘Gross Happiness and Well Being program’ as well as the provincial strategic development of tourism and oil palm promotion. This expects to lead to improving the quality of life for the people, he concluded.
