2 Million Baht’s worth of cash and valuables stolen in House Robbery.

Police Major Chayaporn from Pattaya Police Station was called to a house in Soi Pratamnuk 5 in South Pattaya just before Dawn on Tuesday by Mr. Jacob Tobias Erik Wanrooij aged 47 from Holland. He left his house at 11pm and returned at 4.30am after a night out in South Pattaya to find his house had been ransacked and items of value had been stolen. The point of entry was the rear of the property and the items stolen include an International Watch Company Diamond studded wrist Watch worth around 1.5 Million Baht. A laptop, 300 Euro’s, passport and other personal items were also taken from a safe box which was broken into. Fingerprints were taken from the scene and Police are now questioning neighbors as they search for suspects in this case, however a former cleaner employed by Mr. Wanrooij known as “Ann” is suspected by him and full details of her last known address and ID Card details are currently in the possession of Police.

for me it rather looks like an insurance scam - 1.5 mln watch just laying about the house, than the safe box which is opened and some petty change and petty items totalled to 500k baht.

The really interesting details are missing. For example that this guy had a "harem" of 4 gogo-dancers and that he paid each a monthly "salary" of 100,000 Baht.
