Dvr/ Tivo Service

Featured Replies

From looking at the UBC/True website, it looks like their DVR Service (referred to as "PVR" on their website) is still in a Beta program. So I am curious as to what other options are available to record TV programs (short of old fashion VCR). Anyone have any experience using things like Tivo, MythTV, and other standalone DVR devices with their UBC service?

Additionally, anyone here participating in the UBC PVR Beta program? First impressions?

Thanks in advance,

-Patrick

I have UBC and bought here in CM an LG recorder.....80gb hard disk and DVD..choose what you want to record on. Using it for Arsenal football matches I should be able to record every match they play this seasonon the hard disc. It cost me 7,000baht. I am well pleased with it. Connections were simple..ubcdecoder-LG recorder-TV.It will play just about every format CD and DVD.

They also have a 120gb version but at twice the price!!

i trust you are connecting with AV cables - that is not able to change channel and do scheduled recording across channels. Shall have a closer look once the service is available.
