Featured Replies

hi- due to arrive in samui in 8 days to stayat Banana Fan sea - have been there many times but am not keen to go with major damage reported to hotel - payig top dollar for a damaged resort undergoing repairs !! Apart from travel ins does anone know if there is a "disaster policy" or the like for refund - as we are not within the "21 days cancellation period" have heard the resort is currently closed - cant get them on the phone ? very frustrating ! also if anyone has any pics they can post - i would love to see them . What to do ? who to contact ? we are three famlies travelling from australia - with 6 kids between us - not fun in a damaged resort - damaged/ closed shops / bars / restaurants ! i also heard u cannot swim in sea to to debris - snakes and crocodiles ???

Poor samui - feel so sorry for the locals - but we also save very hard to get there !

Help !! Shannette

Ps looking at going to khao Lak instead - anyone know anything about there ??

Remember Samui Tropical Island though Mother nature can strike hardly in South of France as a surprise but can do the same under the tropics as a normal fact of life under the tropics. Every one seems to forget this is a Tropical area.

Think or swim.

More pics.........from south chaweng beach, in front of the 72 villa, four star resort Banana Fan Sea. Enjoy your holiday, please come back to Samui next year and don't forget to tell all your friends back home.....................

under the disaster area declaration the 21 days cancellation should not apply ask for a refund and or negotiate if you still go there and it is according to your expectations regardless of the climate under the tropics.
