Ankor Wat To Bangkok

Featured Replies

im travelling by train/road from ho chi minh city to ankor wat and then on to bangkok for new year, ive got 3 weeks and am looking for some stop off points any ideas ,love temples, beaches, nightlife, adventure activities

The island of Samet (Koh Samet en route up to Bkk from Cambodia is the only place of interest I can think of really. You'd have to exit Cambodia directly west of Ankor Wat and I don't know if that's possible. It's a gorgeous island with powder white sand and fab nightlife - I prefer the north end for a guest house and then it's easy to walk to the night places from there but quieter for sleeping. You can share a speed boat with some other travellers and go right around the island to snorkle etc.

North of that is Pattaya and then Sri Racha I think - do a Google earth to see some pics

"... west of Ankor wat...."???  That'd bring you to Thailand north of Aranyaprathet.

You might be thinking of west of Sihanoukville via Koh Kong to Thailand at Khat Lek and Klong Yai.

Mac

Oh perhaps my Google earth was on a tilt :o
