Scheduled True Outage On 21st Nov.

Featured Replies

Received this on the cellular a few moments ago:

"True inform you for maintenance network caused Hi Speed will out of service on Wed 21/11/2007, time 01:30-06:00 AM, duration effect time per zone 20 min."

Let's look past the fact it was sent as a 3-part SMS and get beyond the tortured grammar...

Is something good going to happen? And what are the chances it will actually take 20 minutes per zone?

Sounds like there normal maintenance schedule - different areas at different times.

My true connection was working perfect untill a few hours ago (20th Nov), now its running slower then dailup, anyone else having problems?

Hello :o

Last night at 2 AM sharp my connection went out - the "ADSL" light on the router was still on, but torrents stopped, no site opened and the icon in Vista showed "no connectivity". Rebooted the router a few times - no change.

Then at 2:25 AM it suddenly worked again.

Was that a "scheduled maintenance"..? I'm in the Bangna area.

Best regards.....

Thanh

Believe that is how they are scheduled to work - they take the node and do testing of circuits I believe and then return it to service after about half an hour. They often have pop ups on home web page to alert those that go there (and don't block pop ups).

Whatever they did has resulted in significant improvements to ftp and p2p traffic. :o
