Tropical Storm Hakibis to increase rain in South

The meteorological department has reported that the Hakibis depression in the central China Sea has intensified into a tropical storm as it moves towards Vietnam. The storm is situated 1,100 kilometers east of Vietnam’s capital Hanoi.

The department expects the storm with 65 kilometer per hour winds to intensify rain and conditions in the Northeast of Thailand. The storm will also strengthen depression’s in the Gulf of Thailand which will increase rain in the South.

Waves are projected at 2-4 meters and the department has cautioned small ships to be wary of sea conditions for the coming week.

Cool temperature in North and abundant rain in South

The Meteorological Department reported at 4 AM today (November 21st) that a high pressure is covering the North of Thailand, causing cold to very cold weather in mountainous areas. Many areas in southern Thailand are receiving abundant rainfall. Strong winds and high waves are expected, and all ships should proceed with caution.

Bangkok metropolis and vicinity can expect morning light fog and cold weather. The daily temperature would range from 22 to 32 degrees Celsius. The speed of northeasterly winds would be around 15 to 30 kilometers per hour

Hagibis Storm approaching Ho Chi Minh

The Meteorological Department reported at 4 AM today (November 23rd) that tropical storm Hagibis is approaching northeastern Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, with the wind speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and it is also moving northwestward slowly. The northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand is causing strong wind and waves of about two to four meters high. All ships should proceed with caution.

Bangkok metropolis and vicinity can expect partly light fog with cool weather. The daily temperature would be from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius. The speed of northeasterly winds 15 to 35 kilometers per hour
