Tropical Storm Hakibis to increase rain in South

The meteorological department has reported that the Hakibis depression in the central China Sea has intensified into a tropical storm as it moves towards Vietnam. The storm is situated 1,100 kilometers east of Vietnam’s capital Hanoi.

The department expects the storm with 65 kilometer per hour winds to intensify rain and conditions in the Northeast of Thailand. The storm will also strengthen depression’s in the Gulf of Thailand which will increase rain in the South.

Waves are projected at 2-4 meters and the department has cautioned small ships to be wary of sea conditions for the coming week.
