Well-dressed Middle-aged Thai Men

Featured Replies

The title says it all.

Wednesday night (1.30am Thursday) not one, but two, well-dressed Thai men aged about 40 - 45 were both flat out in the middle of Khao Sarn Road, just outside Sidealk Cafe/Restaurant. Had they been farangs or 'low-class' Thais it would've been 'like any other night', but they looked respectable. Neither was able to be brought back to consciousness! No, they weren't dead, but smelling salts, ice and a few slaps failed to wake them up. One had a bit of a fat lip. They cops came and kept a distance, then the hospital chaps took one off in a pick up and I don't know what happened to the other because I was hearing the call of Burger King!

How could this have happened?

Any info (just out of curiosity, on my part) would be great!

They probably had a bit too much to drink trying to impress some uni girls in Suzie. Plenty of affluent young Thais in some of the bars in the area, I imagine those two wanted to meet some of them, and failed.

Beyond stupid.

Never try to rouse someone from unconsciousness by slapping or shaking them.

It could complicate an already serious trauma to the brain.

I thought most well-dressed, middle-aged men were unconcious!

It would certainly not be the first drugging on Khao San.

first trip to Tokyo, on business, walking around. My hosts would not let me go out alone and always accompanied me. Anyway came across several middle aged guys, well dressed, just passed out on the sidewalk. Hosts thought nothing of it, I was shocked. Later asked hosts about it and was told is common way to let off steam.

So its not only KSR.

2long, I hope you're not insinuating that farangs aren't repectable. :o
