Visa Extension Experiences At Jomtien

I request that all TV members who are required to apply for annual visa extensions at the Jomtien Immigration Office report the details of their experiences in this thread. In this way, we can all make a fair assessment of the process; and improve our understanding of the specific requirements being imposed by the Jomtien officers, and the circumstances under which "optional" requirements may be imposed.

Please report the following information:

1. Date and time you arrived for your initial attempt to apply for an extension

2. Type of visa being extended

3. Length of time living in Thailand on this type of visa

4. Name of Thai Immigration Officer who processed your application

5. The documents and other materials you initially presented to the officer

6. Any additional documents or materials requested by the officer

7. Whether or not you completed the process in this initial attempt

8. Specifics of any delays in the processing of your application

9. A follow up post(s), referencing your original post, to detail the additional effort, materials, and visits, required to secure your extension.

10. Your overall assessment of the efficiency and courtesy of the officer(s) processing your application.

Please don't be part of the "silent majority".
